FAQ

Q: Can corn bulb be used in a enclosed outside lighting fixture?

A: All of 80W, 100W and 120W corn bulbs can be used in a enclosed fixture. Please kindly note that our 160~300W corn bulbs CAN NOT be used in enclosed fixture.

Q:Will it work with a dimmer?

A:No, it cannot work with a dimmer.

Q: How does this unit work? is the driver integrated into the bulb? you just wire line current to the mogul base, bypassing the existing mh ballast?

A：Connect directly into E39 base - just screw in Corn bulb is equipped with internal driver for single component installation.(Don't need ballast, just direct wire them)

Q: Can they be used in bad weather?

A: The working environment of the bulb is from -113°F to 113°F These bulbs（Except 160~300w） are great for outside installation as long as they are in the enclosed fixture. Please noted that they are not waterproof.

Q: Does the ballast need to be bypassed when installing these lights?

A:Yes, these are self ballasted. You need to remove the ballast（Or bypass) in your old fixtures and wired the lamp socket directly to the 120V main leads. This both lightened up the fixture as well as provided airspace for cooling.

Q: Why it’s called corn bulb?Any difference?

A: BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE A CORN. THE LIGHT IS VERY BRIGHT AND IT SPREADS EVENLY AROUND THE BULB.It's 360degree beam angle spread luminaries like corn.

Q: Does this have a fan for extra cooling?

A:Yes, our corn bulbs have a fan inside for better cooling effect.The fan brand is Taiwan Sunon.
