FAQ

Q: What is the IP rating? 40, 60 , ?? other. How does it apply to an outdoor application in a shoebox retrofit.

A: It's IP40. It's ok for a shoebox.But please make sure to remove the ballast before screwing it in.

Q: Does it have a fan inside the lamp?

A: No, it doesn't.It is passive cooling without a fan.

Q: I am confused on installation.The current unit has ballast,does it require rewiring to eliminate ballast as mentioned in description or just screw into socket.

A: Please remove old ballast or disconnect from existing lamp holder.LED Lights can not use with ballast.Because after connector the lamp with ballast, the power would overheat and burn out.So before install the light must remove ballast,then screw bulb into socket.

Q: What is the difference between led bulb WL series and RCL series?

A: WL series is active cooling with Taiwan Sunon fan;RCL series is passive cooling without fan,its driver is fully sealed by thermal paste.WL is fin heatsink structure. RCL is die-casting structure.
WL range from 30W~300W, RCL range from 27W~125W.

Q: Can I install into an outdoor wall pack style fixture which is water tight?

A: Yes,this IP40 grade bulb can be used in the enclosed fixture,like your wall pack fixture.
